Part I

MTT is based on Quantum Physics, according to which a body’s particles are arranged and altered by Energy – what Einstein sometimes called the Field, and what Max Plank called the Matrix. Remember E=Mc2 ? By contrast contemporary western medicine’s paradigm remains Newtonian – the view that bodies are complex mechanical devices to be altered or manipulated chemically (pharmaceuticals), physically (surgery, radiation), etc. MTT is also anchored in ancient Eastern medicine’s paradigm of Energy (Qi, or Chi) flowing through Meridians and “spilling over” or emanating from our bodies. Japanese researchers recently photo-documented light (the c in E=Mc2) literally glowing around volunteers, and light emanating from the genetic part of every cell in the body.

In a clinical trial involving 5000 individuals admitted to 11 allied treatment centers during a 14-year period for various forms of anxiety disorder, patients were randomly assigned to an experimental (EFT – one form of MTT) or a control group (Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and medication), which is traditionally considered the therapy of choice. The results: Some improvement: CBT/Medication 63%, EFT 90%; Complete relief from symptoms: CBT/Meds 51%, EFT 76%; Average # of sessions: CBT/Meds 15, EFT 3. One year follow-up (corroborated by brain imaging and neurotransmitter profiles): EFT was “substantially less prone to relapse or partial relapse than CBT/medication.”
